Title: Gaming Respawn Plays (October 2025)
Introduction
After a brief hiatus from our Gaming Respawn Plays segment last month, we’re delighted to return and highlight the games that have captured our interest this October. This edition focuses on a mix of recent releases alongside some classic titles we’ve decided to revisit. Without further ado, let’s delve into what’s currently on our gaming radar.

Battlefield 6 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Battlefield 6 has exceeded all my expectations. It has become so engrossing that I have found myself playing until 1:30 AM on school nights. In just two weeks since its release, I’ve dedicated 74 hours to the game. I measure the value of a game based on a personal metric: for every £1 spent, I expect to enjoy at least one hour of gameplay. Given that I purchased Battlefield 6 for £70, I’m already on track to meet that benchmark, and my excitement shows no signs of waning.
At 54 years old, I’m still able to contribute effectively to my team, maintaining a K/D ratio of 1.6 primarily as an Engineer, with occasional stints as a Medic. I prefer a direct approach: find the enemy, support my team, and eliminate threats—there’s nothing like blowing up tanks to keep the adrenaline pumping!
I’m currently enjoying the process of unlocking new gear for my weapons. Experimentation has been key, as I explore which modifications perform best on different maps. I’ve even been tweaking my controller settings; just this morning, I researched how to adjust my “Zoom Sensitivity Coefficient.”
I typically engage in Breakthrough Mode, where enemy movements are more predictable. Other modes often lead to frustration, as I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been ambushed from behind. When I’m in the mood for something different, I dabble in Close Quarters Combat (CQC) Mode, which is devoid of vehicles and focuses solely on infantry combat. This mode allows me to try out new weapons and strategies.
I have a desire to dive back into Rush Mode, reminiscent of my experience with Battlefield: Bad Company 2. However, the Rush Mode in Battlefield 6 lacks the same appeal and doesn’t even feature a dedicated playlist, unlike other modes.
For a change of pace, I’ve also returned to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, hoping my perspective will shift after having played the first Ichiban game, Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Now at Chapter 2, I’m finding that my enjoyment has significantly increased, especially since I opted to play with the Japanese voiceovers; the English dub simply didn’t resonate with me.
As I continue to engage with Battlefield 6, I’m optimistic that it will keep me occupied until the IO Interactive James Bond game launches early next year. With the excitement at hand, I’m eager to return to the battlefield!

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection and Ninja Gaiden 4
Taking a break from Red Dead Redemption II, I’ve devoted this month to revisiting a beloved collection that has challenged and entertained me in the past—the Ninja Gaiden series, specifically the Ninja Gaiden Sigma titles and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Recently, I acquired a physical copy of the Master Collection for PS4, which bundles these three games into one incredible package. It seems only fitting to pass my older PS3 versions on to a friend.
Transitioning from the slow-paced, meticulous gameplay of RDR2 to the rapid-fire action of the Ninja Gaiden games has been a refreshing change. While riding across the vast landscape of RDR2 has its own allure, there’s something exhilarating about diving into fast-paced combat—slicing through enemies and watching them fall in a whirlwind of action is just what I needed this month.
Conclusion
As we wrap up our October edition of Gaming Respawn Plays, it’s clear that both new and old titles can provide us with endless hours of entertainment. Whether you’re grinding through Battlefields or slicing through foes in Ninja Gaiden, the gaming world is ever-evolving and offers something for every player. We look forward to sharing more insights and experiences in the future!
