On November 21, 2025, we announced the discontinuation of Supermaven following our acquisition a year ago. We are committed to supporting our current customers during this transition.

Existing users will receive full refunds today for their remaining subscription time. We will also continue providing free autocomplete inference to existing customers for the foreseeable future, ensuring no disruption in their workflows.

Since integrating Supermaven features into Cursor Tab, we now recommend all current VS Code users switch to Cursor. Our new autocomplete model offers significant improvements, enhancing coding efficiency and accuracy.

We listened to feedback from Neovim and JetBrains users who loved Supermaven. Therefore, we will maintain free autocomplete inference for these customers. However, support for agent conversations—an experimental feature—will end, as it was rarely used. We advise using your preferred frontier model in Cursor for agent-based coding tasks.

In summary, Supermaven’s future is now focused on supporting existing users, with continued free inference and refunds for remaining subscriptions. We appreciate your support and look forward to your continued coding success with Cursor.
